"The Air Trust" by George Allan England is a story from the early 1900s that focuses on themes of capitalism and control. A wealthy and greedy man named Isaac Flint creates a frightening plan to take control of the world's air by establishing an “Air Trust". Flint starts thinking about the idea after looking out from his office in Manhattan and he realizes air is needed by all. He believes that by controlling the Earth’s air he can control and rule everyone. To make the idea a reality, he talks to his partner, Waldron, and pressures a scientist, called Herzog, into creating a method to get oxygen on a large scale, paving the way for a battle between one man's power and the rights of all.
